Hi so I will be talking about coding and how,wait I thought everyone was doing coding in Auckland, ok never mind I will just talk about what we did so lets get started so first we went with our chrome books to room 2 we had to work in buddy's.Coding looked fun I had a thought in our kawa of care we were not allowed to give our chrome books to the little kids but WE DID they were really lucky but before we got started we had to watch a video the video was at this work what ever it was so cool there was music rooms peace full area and other cool stuff oh and you wont believe it they got to skate in there work COOL!!!

Paper Mache

Talofa lava everyone I am going to talk about PAPER MACHE!!!!! have been doing paper mache in the kauri cinder kit and most of us are nearly finished it is going well and if you saw mine I think it looks cool I am doing a mouse but anyways just click through my slide below.

Emergency Kit

Hi everyone this is my emergency kit.The reason why we were doing emergency kit was because we heard there was a earthquake,so then we thought to make a survival kit for our family and you should do it too, Also if you are making one already and you don't know anything else that is important and that is missing just click through my slide and there will be really important things you will need like a paper toilet, A paper toilet it can do a lot of things Blow your nose,Wipe wet things and also wipe your business. So remember don't forget that.

Healthy Living day

Kia ora everyone well I am going to talk about what we did on healthy living day, Well lets get started so last week on Friday we had a healthy living day so everyone had a buddy class,A buddy class means the kauri team have to be buddy class with rata and puriri, Anyways everyone went to there buddy class our buddy class was room 2 we went there to make our fruit parfait. WAIT!! I forgot to tell you why we were making fruit parfait,So when the kauri team went for there trip to New world we got a $60 voucher card that $60 was to make a healthy desert and make it with our buddy class (room 2).So yes that is why we were making a fruit parfait. If you would like to know how to make a fruit parfait just read the slide below and I think you will be really good at making it.BUT JUST REMEMBER THERE IS NUTS ON TOP SO IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO NUT DO WHEAT BIX.

Malo E lelei  everyone well I am going to ask you's something and it will be about you know about sports, the sports I will be talking about is shot pot well who here likes playing shot pot,shot pot is one of the sports that is kind of challenging for me but when I play shot pot I try and try to get better and better it kind of makes me have fun and I thought to myself that when I get use to it I could keep and keep on playing then I will be so good just like Valery Adams.Any ways if you would like to learn how to play then     scroll down and you will see the instructions well I hop you enjoy!!

Well lets get started:

1.When you hold the ball your hand has to be facing up to the sky.

2.Only move your hand when you are going to throw the ball.

3.You have to push the ball not throw.

4.When you are holding the ball elbows straight.

5.Stand side way before you are going to throw.

New world trip

Today in the bad weather (Raining) we went to NEW WORLD!!! But since it was raining we had some staff members help us to go on the trip but we got there we had to wait for a while because the teachers, but when the teachers were here we went inside with our group I was in group 1 but anyways we had a piece of paper that we had to fill in, it said on the paper all of the type of things we have to look for,first one was breakfast cereal and all those other stuff but when we had that paper it was all about reading and understanding the nutrition information. So when you go shopping with your mum,dad or anyone in your family and they say to go pick something for lunch or something you know which one is the right choice to eat for your lunch and the bad things you are not allowed to have ,like a whole drink and a fresh healthy water that is a big difference.

• Energy-The amount of energy you will have when you are doing something. 
• Fat total- How many things that can make you fat.
• Sugar-How many sugar is in the food you are eating.
• Dietary fibre-The amount of fibre is in the food.
• Sodium-Is the amount of salt in the food you are eating.

So learn about nutrition and pick the right food!!!!

Welcome back to School!!

Yay it is now term 4 YAY!!!!!! finally we are at school I hate holidays WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL EVERYONE!! I had a really boring holiday but when it is school time YAY school is the best thing in my life because I like working with my teacher and playing with my FRIENDS!!!!!!

Hi guys this is my blog post about my number 23 so what we do is that we go on the doc that out teacher shared us and she chose a number for us to do.So when you got your number you have to write many ways to write your number in diffrent languages, my number was 23 and this is how much languages I did!!!

Speech fianals

Speech finals!!!

WOW your not going to believe it!! Well last week on Wednesday we were having the speech competitions and my speech was about why you should do speeches oh and guess who read there speech first da me. I was first because I had Tongan speech is well. Oh and I forgot if you would like to check out me SPEECH click here and it will take you to my speech.

Then at the end Mrs Melick and Andrea were telling us who came 1,2 and 3d well your not going to believe it they chose 2 people to come 3d and guess who it was?? me!!!!!! and my friend Vika we both came 3d I felt so proud of myself.Good job to the other people that were doing speeches they worked really hard to finish there speech.Oh and guess who came 2 and 1st in 2nd place was Dinah mary and in 1st place was DANAE! I know that we did really good in our speeches that the judges liked our speech and I know that our parents are really proud. 

Cross Country.

Cross Country

Today Friday 2nd of September we were doing Cross country/fun run when it was the year 6's turn at the beginning  I think I ran to fast then I started walking up the hill but the thing is that I am still proud of myself because guess what I came?? I CAME 2nd!!!!!! It was so fun but next time I have to remember to pace myself when I am running.Good job to the other year 6 girls!!!!

Basketball

Kia ora everyone this term is term 3 and May Road school is learning how to play basketball.We have alot of people that love playing basketball ,well when we heard that we were playing basketball this term we were excited to play basketball.When we first started we had alot of things to do before playing basketball 1st we had to learn the rules and the skills.

I was so excited,but before we got started we had to do warm up so there were 5 cones and we had to line up in each cone equally,one of our warm ups were jogging in the spot the 2nd one was high knees 3d but kick,4th skipping then after we have all done that we had to go and get a basketball and sit back where we were and if you are wondering why we had a basketball we had to do ball tap what that means is put both of your hands up over your head then get the ball and tap it in each hand.

I hope you play Basketball because it is a really good game to play!!!!!!!!!

Hearing Session

    Hi guys,today we went to rm 1 and guess why we went? It was because we had some visitors from Lyn Field Collage to teach us about our hearing and other things about our ears.I thought they must of had learned alot of things about hearing.

There were 3 ways you had to do if you were next to loud things. 1 if you were in a car with loud radio you can Turn it off or turn it down,2 If someone was mowing a lawn and you were sitting next to it you can walk away,3 If you were mowing your own lawn you have to block your ears by getting ear plugs or else you damage your ears.

Did you know that  you can damage your ears if you have to raise your voice or shout to be heard?Yea  guess what happened when they told us that?Yes I thought I had damaged my hearing because I had been shouting alot.Oh I forgot to tell you this there is things in your ears called hearing sells.The thing I learnt about hearing sells is that if you don't shout  and that your hearing sells will be straight but if you shout or play loud music it will be not straight. Like if you brush your hair it will be straight but if you don't brush your hair it will be messy and that is the same thing as hearing sells. 

I have learned alot of things about hearing I would just like to say thank you to lyn feild collage

Fun Zoo trip.

Fun Zoo Trip!!!

OK 3,2,1 we are there at the Zoo cant wait.We got out of the bus and went to sit down where we were going to stay. I was so excited to explore the animals habitats.We got to go with some Zoo keepers around the Zoo. 

The first place we went to was the Tuatara and the other cule small creatures it was so cool looking at the creatures that camouflage with the leafs and the back of them. Also when I saw the creatures that were camouflage I couldn't see them until I saw them move a little.

It was so cool looking at the giraffes and Zebra I was hopping we will be allowed to feed the giraffe again like last time but we didn't get to. EEEEEEW what is that .Then I saw it smelled because the poo disgusting.Guess what we saw? What we saw was a zebra poo on the ground it was so disgusting.

When we went to see the tigers we saw one but it was sleeping.The first time I saw it I thought it was dead because it was ling down on the floor on the side of his back .But it was so cool looking at a tiger for real life and so close.

Then we went to see this weird thing it looked half rat half dog it looked so weird I have never seen a kind of animal like that before.It was running every where when it saw us it ran inside his cave came out went around in a circle and kept on doing it.

It was really cool going to the Zoo because we got to learn about the animals and where they live(habitats)The thing I like the most was watching them eat and looking how the Zoo keepers feed them and training them.

Photo time and that was the end of our fun Zoo trip!!

Samoan language week.

 Samoan Language week!!

                         Last week on week 5 was Samoan language week. So all of the Samoan bilingual class 

                           and also the other Samoan kids that were not in the bilingual class that would 

                                                             like to join went to the hall.

On Wednesday we went to the taste of Samoa in the hall and when we got to the hall I was wondering what does the taste of Samoa mean. Then I finally knew. The taste of Samoa means you can learn things about Samoa like knowing what they eat and their special things.

When we went to the taste of Samoa we had to get in 3 groups I was in group 3.Our first activity was the coco.I was very excited to see how they make coco.When we got to our table there was a tray with these light brown things. But then Sili said that it was the coco.We moved on to our next thing. It was time to peel the cooked coco and put it in the little brick and then break the coco with the stick.Then last we make it into a drink then time to drink YUMMY!!

it was really yummy, nice and sweet.

                     

When we got to our last one we went to the coconut area and when we got there I saw James and his mum  cutting the coconut inside.We sat down and watched them cutting the coconut then James asked us if we wanted a go so we said yes.Also James mum said we can eat some coconut it was really nice that I wanted to eat more and more!!

Then on Friday we had Mrs Moore's Beautiful mum coming in our class. We sat in a circle on the mat and she was talking about herself.After she talked about herself we asked questions. We asked a lot of questions it was already morning tea.So we had enough questions and went to eat.It was so fun having Mrs Moore's wonderful mum coming in our classroom. I have not seen a teacher bring in there parents but this year Mrs Moore has brought in her mum COOL!!

Now after lunch was the big Samoan language assembly it was so cool we saw the boy's haka we saw the girls dance it was really good.The things I like best was the costume Ma'aiasepi's cloths was really pretty the reason why she was wearing that was because she was the M.C for the Samoan language week assembly. It was really interesting when she was talking about Samoa.Also the other thing that was interesting was the thing around Ma'aiasepi's head that was really cool.

Then it was the end of assembly. I was so excited because we were going to eat .Guess what we were going to eat?It was chopsui and rice yea NICE. We went outside the hall and line up to get one. When I got one we went to class to go eat it. Then when we finished we took a photo with Mrs Moore and Mrs Moore's mum before she went.

It was a really fun day with Mrs Moore's mum and a really good presented assembly. The only thing that I mostly like was eating and having guests coming to our SCHOOL!!
